Gibbs Racing says bye bye GM, Hello Toyota

ESPN is reporting that the transition to the new Toyota cars is well underway for Gibbs Racing. Parts for the 2008 Toyota Camry’s have been shipped, so its only a matter of time nowbefore the 100 or so cars are assembled and ready to test run.

This is a big move for Toyota as they had never had such a high profile race team running their cars before. Not sure if I see the economic translation for their camry model from race-fans to car buyers, but we’ll see.
